About the Data Centre
FDZ Bildung processes relevant datasets and instruments for re-use and makes them available in a central repository in accordance with data protection regulation. This service is complemented by contextual information on the studies and related publications. Up to now, the FDZ Bildung has been focusing on instruments and datasets for research on schools and teaching.
Interview and obervational data are openly accessible in form of anonymised transcripts and coded versions. For data protection reasons, access to original audiovisual and audio data, respectively, is limited to scientific re-use and requires prior registration.
The documented scales and questionnaires are openly accessible via the database for school quality (Datenbank zur Qualität von Schule, DaQS) and re-usable for further research.
The activities of the FDZ Bildung adhere to the criteria of the German Data Forum (RatSWD). It was accredited by the RatSWD in October 2012.
