Stock of vehicles recorded in the Central Vehicle Register

The data offer consists of motor vehicles and trailers, which are recorded in the Central Vehicle Register on January, 1^st of a year. It includes a comprehensive package of technical information that is complemented by demographic and regional characteristics of the vehicle keeper. The data are available as cross-sections from the year 2015 onwards.

Additions to the Register of Driver Fitness

The data offer includes traffic safety-relevant information from participants in public road traffic in Germany that has been received in the register within a calendar year. The Register of Driver Fitness records following decisions:

• Legally binding decisions concerning criminal or administrative offenses for which registration is required
• Decisions made by the driving licence authorities concerning the withdrawal, refusal or newly grant of driving licences
• Participation on advanced or driving aptitude seminars

This information is complemented by demographic and regional characteristics. The data are available as cross-sections from the year 2015 onwards.

European road freight traffic

The data offer includes transport operations of German and foreign commercial vehicles in, to, from and through Germany, as well as cabotage trips of German vehicles abroad. The data consists, among other things, of information on loading and unloading regions, the distance traveled, as well as the weight and type of goods transported. The data are available as cross-sections from the year 2010 onwards, aggregated at the level of loading and unloading regions.
