Publication of the Research Data Centres’ Activity Report 2020
546 new data sets were made available in 2020 by the research data centres (FDZ) accredited by the German Council for Social and Economic Data (RatSWD). Data users made extensive use of the FDZs’ broad range of services in 2020: 43,703 researchers used the data and published 2,906 scientific articles. The network’s data offerings from now 41 FDZs will continue to expand in the future through the accreditation of five new FDZs in 2020. The FDZs are an important backbone of the Consortium for the Social, Behavioural, Educational and Economic Sciences (KonsortSWD); their cooperation is strengthened by the services developed in KonsortSWD. They contribute significantly to the expansion of the National Research Data Infrastructure (NFDI).
