When was the RatSWD founded?

The German Data Forum (RatSWD) has been advising the Federal Government and the governments of the federal states on research data infrastructure for 20 years now. It was established in 2004 by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF).

Who we are

As part of the NFDI, the RatSWD and KonsortSWD develop a research data infrastructure for the social, behavioural, educational, and economic sciences.

I have data, where can I go with it?

All data is special and valuable. The repositories of KonsortSWD’s partners and many research data centres accept and curate research data.

How does KonsortSWD make data available?

A decentralized network of 41 RatSWD accredited research data centers (RDCs) provides cost-effective and easy access to a variety of mainly sensitive research data.
