ASI more closely linked to RatSWD in future

The long-established Association of Social Science Institutes (ASI), founded in 1953, is to be interlinked with the work of the German Data Forum (RatSWD) from now on and thus also become part of the KonsortSWD community. On June 13, 2025, the association’s general assembly approved a corresponding amendment to the articles of association. This was preceded by a strategy process on the future of the ASI. Cooperation and organizational links are intended to create synergies in the interests of empirical social research in Germany. In future, the coordination of the association will be located in the RatSWD office at the Berlin Social Science Center (WZB).
