In its 7th appointment period, the German Data Forum continued to work towards expanding and improving the research data infrastructure in Germany. This final report provides an overview of the structure and working methods of the German Data Forum as part of the research data infrastructure and documents the focal points of the recently concluded appointment period. These included the scientific use of register data, dealing with unstructured data, research in societal crises, research data management in small projects and research ethics. The German Data Forum also continued to contribute in the area of scientific policy advice as an independent advisory board to the federal government.
