Factsheet 2021 on the Research Data Centres (RDC) accredited by the RatSWD is published
Social, behavioural, educational and economic research need access to sensitive microdata on individuals, households or businesses. Thus, since 2000, a network of 41 research data centres (FDZ) accredited by the RatSWD has developed to facilitate data access. Since 2020, the RatSWD and the RDCs have been part of the Consortium for Social, Behavioural, Educational and Economic Sciences (KonsortSWD), further contributing to the expansion of the National Research Data Infrastructure (NFDI). In 2021, 600 new datasets were published by the RDCs, more new datasets than in any previous year. 52,758 researchers used the data offered by the RDC.
All key figures on the current developments in the RDCs can be found in the following factsheet.
