Report on the 72nd meeting of the German Data Forum

The meeting began with a discussion of the results of the Bundestag elections, which had taken place just a few days previously. The focus was on the future of the Research Data Act (FDG), the implementation of which could no longer be realised in the last legislative period. The German Data Forum (RatSWD) had closely followed the legislative process and will continue to advocate for the speedy realisation of the project.

Another focus of the exchange was the unique selling points of the research data centres (RDCs) accredited by the German Data Forum (RatSWD). All accredited RDCs are characterised by certain quality features, which the RatSWD regularly reviews. In order to increase the recognition value of the accredited RDCs, various measures are taken to strengthen the RDC “brand”.
