New handbook on the use of firm data published

At the conclusion of the KonsortSWD project “Access to Firm Data“, a practical handbook has been published to assist researchers in accessing firm-generated data. It demonstrates how data collaborations between academia and industry can be established and successfully structured – from initial contact to long-term cooperation.

The handbook addresses organisational, legal and methodological challenges and emphasises the role of research data centres. It is primarily aimed at applied social scientists and offers valuable tips for building trusting and sustainable partnerships.

Despite the project’s completion, the work continues: the follow-up project will begin in October with the second funding phase of KonsortSWD. The handbook is available for download free of charge.
